Return Address Mismatch in eBay Return Request

Hello eBay Support,

I initiated a return for an item I purchased . The return request was approved, but the seller is now asking me via message to return the item to a different address than the one listed in the official return request.

I want to ensure my return is covered under eBay’s Money Back Guarantee. The seller has not updated the return address within eBay, and I am concerned that returning the item to an unapproved address might void my protection.

Can you confirm how I should proceed? Should I wait for the seller to update the address officially in the return request, or can you step in to assist with this matter?

Thank you for your help.

Best regards,

Andreas

Return Address Mismatch in eBay Return Request

You must return to the address supplied by ebay.   They will only require attempted delivery for you to get your refund.
