Request a limit increase

How do I request a limit increase? I've been severely restricted, but I really need to post ads. What should I do?

There's a link to request a limit increase on here:

You won't get a limit increase if it's telling you that you won't, plus your feedback profile indicates that you've some real issues with selling.

You also can't sell mystery boxes on eBay, that's a policy breach against your account.

And you need to trade on a business account to be compliant (a private seller is one who is just selling off their own personal items such clothes from their wardrobe, bits from their loft/garage etc.).

Okay, thanks, I didn't know about mystery boxes. But I think I switched to a business account.

Your account is still showing as a private one.  If you opened a shop, that's not opening a business account.

I tried it, but eBay says that I can't use this bank. I don't have another one.

Which bank are you using?

It has to be a  High Street bank , such as Lloyds,  Barclays,  but internet only banks,  are not allowed.

With a correctly registered bank this is how to register correctly, for a Business account.

  1. Go to Account settings in My eBay.
  2. Select Personal information
  3. Select Edit next to Account type. You may be asked to sign in again.
  4. Select Confirm to upgrade to a Business account.
  5. Specify whether you operate your business as a legal entity or as a sole proprietor and select Continue.
  6. On the following page, enter your business information such as name, contact information, and returns policy. Then select Save.

Probably best to use a PC / laptop for this,  and not the app or mobile browser.  Chrome seems to work best on eBay.

I've a bad feeling that your selling account may be about to go past the point of no return - check your Seller Dashboard (button on this eBay guidance page) and pop back and tell us what your percentages are (or you can copy and paste that section here using the photo icon above the message text box):

Hi,

This is a friendly view only.

You seem to be at cross purposes with eBay and the eBay Account you have.

So, you need to sort out what kind of eBay Account you need and the eBay Policies you need to follow to sell your items.

An eBay Business Account needs quite a few legal requirements to be met; you can view these in eBay's explanation of opening/or changing from an eBay Private to a Business Account.

eBay CS in Dublin (which can be reached in the mornings) I have found to be very helpful.

Screenshot shows you below standard, so ebay are unlikely to increase your listing limit.

Best to use Nationwide bank.

You won't be able to get a listing limit increase, and sellers are allowed a 2% transaction defect rate, whilst yours is showing 12.58%.

If you click on the red exclamation mark in brackets next to 'Transaction defect rate' you'll see an explanation of how this works.
