Replacement item only lasted 4 days, can't do another return?

I'm just looking for some advice to see if there's anything I can do. I ordered a double inflatable bed, it arrived with a patch on and wouldn't stay inflated, even though I purchased it as a new item. I opened a return case, but seller said, they would post a replacement, which they did and we inflated it and left it overnight and it was fine, but we didn't sleep on it. We have just used it for 4 nights, well tried to, but on 3rd night it started to deflate so we had to pump it up about 3 times every couple of hours and on 4th night, we got about 2 hours out of it, we rolled together and ended up on the floor it wouldn't stay inflated no matter what we tried. its not got a puncture, the valves look fine, we contacted seller and they said because the return case was closed we couldn't send that back for a refund, so 6 weeks after buying the original then getting the replacement, our first use just over a month later its no good. Ebay bot say they can't step in cause the return case is now closed. Is there any way I can get a refund for this, as surely its not fit for purpose after only 6 weeks and 1 use? Can't seem to get to speak to an ebay agent either. Any ideas or advice would be very welcome.

Ebay won't help beyond their 30 day MBG.

Also as case is closed, you can't open another.

Try your payment provider.

If it was UK business seller, contact advice.

I know it's not funny, but your account of the two of you rolling onto the floor when it deflated reminded me of the episode in Steptoe and Son when Albert accidentally punctured Harold's new water bed!

Unfortunately, eBay can only help within the limitations of its money back guarantee. Your experience illustrates why we always advise buyers to get a refund, not a replacement. The problem with a replacement is that, as only one case may be opened for an item, there's no further help available from eBay if the replacement is faulty too. If you had insisted on a refund you could have bought the same item again, when it would have been covered by eBay's guarantee as a new purchase.

The fact that eBay can't assist doesn't mean that the seller can just ignore you. This is a UK business seller so you have your statutory consumer rights. You haven't told us how you paid, but if by credit or debit card contact the card issuer; I shall be very surprised if they don't reverse the payment to refund you. Good luck , and I hope there will be no more rolling out!
