Registering bank account problems.

I have been trying for the last two weeks to register my account but it says my details do not match. Its a new account, same name, same address. I have no clue what doesn't match. i don't do online banking so this is entered manually.

Does the name match exactly?

So, if you registered your Ebay account as Ms Mary Smith but the name on your bank account is Mrs Mary Janet Smith, Ebay won't accept it.

Check the name on your Ebay account and change that to exactly match the name on your bank account if that is the issue.

Use a laptop / PC , and with Chrome that combo seems to work best,  then enter your details with the link below.

Simple things to check that 0 is entered and not a O,   try with gaps where showing on account, then with no gaps.  Might help 🤔 ?

The account will then need to be verified which may take a few days.

If there is still an issue , contact Customer Services see if they can enter those numbers for you, and to see where the issue lies.

Lines open 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. on weekdays

9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekends.

I recommend contacting CS first thing in the morning as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

The bank account was opened for the sole purpose of being in the exact same name as my ebay account.

It still says the numbers do not match. Flumoxed.

Contact CS with the link I provided in my post above,  but I would wait until first thing tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. or on weekdays 8 a.m. when the lines first open for ' live agents' ,  and there's more chance of Dublin answering and hopefully,  they can see where the issue lies.

Did the phone back thing and a very nice man talked me through the process. The verify bank account box where you re-enter the code was hidden. I don't know if this was unique to my computer screen or if this is universal but it's now all sorted. Its easy to be dim!
