Refunding a buyer after I sold it and bought a postage label

Hi everybody,

I am relatively new to selling with 1 months experience so far. Today I sold an item, bought a postage label and then was asked to cancel the order and refund the buyer. I'm sure there is a way to do this easily but having spent all day trying, I am at my wits end because when I try by going to the item in the seller hub and selecting cancel, eBay tells me that I cannot do this as the item is already cancelled. Am I doing something wrong? Please help by giving me simple instructions to follow. Many thanks

Thank you for the post.

It sounds like the cancellation is already done if you are getting the message its cancelled. Click into the order number and check the status from there. It should also show if the funds have been refunded to the buyer. Go to your seller hub> orders> and click into the order from there or you can check seller hub> orders> cancellations.
