Refunded before Item Returned

Hello, I purchased an item which was damaged and wasn’t listed in the description. Seller accepted the return but then refunded me before I could post the item, rather than waiting for return. I now have no options to generate return postage. I don’t want the buyer losing out on the item. What can be done. Direct contact with the buyer isn’t an option as I’ve blocked him to due to issues and he’s also asked that I didn’t message him.

If they have asked you not to message them, and they refunded before you sent the item back,  this means the seller does not want their item sending back.

Nothing more you need to do.

Thanks. I suspected that was the case but this is the first time I’ve had this issue in my 20+ yrs with eBay. I just wanted some assurance that this would not negatively impact me.

Yep, they refunded first instead of waiting,   so even if done in error , you do not have to hold onto the item if you do not wish to. 

Looks like they didn't want it back being damaged, very odd though that he's asked you not to message him ?
