Refund from seller

Noooo!  Do NOT close the case.

Good thing you came here to ask first,  if you close the case another cannot be opened with eBay for that item,  and you'd have to pursue a refund through your payment provider.

Ignore the message from the seller , and on day 4 if not refunded or label sent for the return, ( you didn't mention the reason for the case not sure if it's one for not as described. )  you then escalate the case,  ask eBay to step in,  and they'll force the refund.

Ignore any plea or excuse to close the case,  ignore them all,  and do not forget to escalate.

Refund from seller

Do not close the case under any circumstances. This sounds like a tactic some Asian sellers use. You close the case = no refund, so stick to your guns.

Refund from seller

Your seller will only refund if you do not close the case.  They really have no choice, as if they do not refund voluntarily, ebay will forceca refund and seller gets a damaging defect on their account.

Seller knows this and hopes you do not understand that once closed, ebay will not get involved, and you will never hear from seller again.

It does sometimes happen that an inexperienced seller tries to refund and cannot. They must refund through the case you have opened.
