Question regarding delivery for fragile item

I have sold a fragile item (bathroom-style mirror). Original listing specified collection only. Buyer misread, and requested delivery instead. I am considering my options rather than cancelling sale and refunding.

As unable to deliver via eBay, I will need to use a 3rd party correct? Anyway I didn't manage to find any service that insures fragile items such as glass. Below are dimensions just for additional information.

I just wanted to clarify, as item not insured by 3rd party delivery company, in the event of item being damaged during transit, once delivery has been paid for (buyer stated they will pay), would I be liable under ebay T&C to refund?

Item Height38.35cm
Item Weight2.25kg
Item Width38.35cm

Thanks in advance.

You would have to refund the buyer if the item arrived damaged and you had chosen and used your own delivery company.

Question regarding delivery for fragile item

Thanks, I think I'll probably cancel the transaction as not worth the trouble.

Question regarding delivery for fragile item

Sorry, further to below, I've attempted to cancel transaction and refund the buyer in full.

Listed price is 19.90, stated fees are 2.39. eBay has stated they will refund 17.51 from funds and will charge my card for remainder.

Can someone kindly explain why? The item was specified for only collection as well, so not sure if its fair having to pay fees for unsuccessful transaction as buyer misread.

Please advise.
