eBay doesn't allow items to be viewed before a sale. If you or your seller had tried to give contact details for viewing your accounts your messages would have been blocked, or you could even have been suspended. This is to prevent buyers and sellers from arranging private sales outside og eBay to evade payong eBay's fees.
What you have to do now is bid for the item, then if it isn't as you expected agree a cancellation. This is very frustrating for buyers and sellers, but suits eBay - which is what's important to eBay.
