Proof of age!

I tried to buy a Hedge Trimmer today. I am 63 years old and have been a member on here for a number of years. I buy and sell a lot of items and as far as I was concerned, E.Bay have all my details. I was asked for my card number and gave my main card but that wasn't good enough, I need to providea "CreditCard" I don't have one and have no intention taking one out and certainly not  to prove to you my age.  It's just ridiculous, although that's not unusual for E.Bay..

You have to add a credit card number to confirm your age for any bladed product purchased on Ebay.

Proof of age is a legal requirement to buy bladed items online, not just on ebay.

This site chooses to only accept credit card as proof.
