I am trying to purchase some cutlery, just basic knives and forks, but ebay are asking me to provide proof I am over 18, I am 49, they are asking to prove age via a credit card which I dont own, any idea how I can get round this?

As far a buying from ebay, there is no way round Ebay are required by law to check age of purchasers and credit card is the only means the accept.
Can you not get someone to buy for you?
