Problems setting up seller's bank account

While attempting to set  a seller's bank account manually, the web page allows me to enter the bank sort code and bank account number, but the account name field is protected and I am unable to enter anything.   Does anyone know why this so?    (I don't do online banking so have to use the manual entry route.)

The name will be taken from the details you gave when you opened your account.

Ebay don't need you to enter your name because they already know what it is.

There can be issues if the name on your Ebay account doesn't exactly match the name on your bank account.

If that is the case, you may need to update your personal details.
