Problem with automatic postage purchase from sold screen buying wrong postage than was selected

I sold an item yesterday that included postage for a 2 kg parcel, £4.06.  I purchased the postage from the sold screen and it was only when I printed the label I noticed it was for a 1kg parcel.  I went back into screen and sure enough £4.06 was specified in the sale but £2.94 had been deducted from profit.  I've sent the parcel and fully expect to get charged more but the fault isn't with me but the EBay system.

It is up to you to make sure postage is correct, but ebay's fault,

their options are often wrong.

As you used Evri, not sure what they do,

RM would not accept item at PO or they would charge buyer excess postage before delivering.
