Preordered item 4/12/24 to date no item received after numerous attemps to contact seller, ebay saying cant help as out of 30 day, period. Sellers print sugests that there might be a wait yet no release date supplied as seller says manufacturers sometimes don't give any info. Ebay telling me i should have raised it at,30 days, yet seller still allowed to post, items as preorder without release date and ebay allowing this !!!!! Help.Regards Clive.

here's eBay's policy on presale items -
You could try your payment provider or bank but after such a long time it's doubtful they can help.

Ebay cannot vet every one of millions of listings, so they rely on members reporting sellers breaking the rules.
Preorders are required to give a delivery date which I believe should be within 30 days of listing.

You're sadly out of time to get a refund any route now, whether it be eBay, PayPal or your debit or credit card provider if you funded your payment that route.
Always ask yourself how your payment is protected, it's a shame you didn't find this section sooner.

ebay allowing this !!!!!
eBay isn't "allowing" this. eBay requires presale purhases to be posted within 40 business days of purchase. After that, you could have used eBay's money back guarantee to get a refund. If you didn't do this, I'm afraid you were the one who allowed the seller to get away with it.
Buying from unknown seller on eBay isn't like buying from the shops. eBay even warns buyers in the user agreement that "they do not guarantee the existence, quality, safety or legality of items advertised, or the truth or accuracy of descriptions". You have to watch out for yourself here. If you let the time limits for buyer proyection slip away you're liable to lose your item and your money. eBay is a jungle.
