Hi.
I'm a private or non business seller.
I think I got the answer from the forums, however with rules always changingI'd like to double check if things have changed since the September 24 post I got the answer from.
A potential buyer has agreed to buy something from me today, although they've not bought it yet they've asked if I can postpone postage till the 7th of April (around 9 days time).
I know this can be a strike against the sellers account if not sent within your stated dispatch time, which I can only adjust up to 3 days.
A quick search gave me an answer of, marking it as "dispatched" once they've bought the item, then waiting till the desired date for it be sent and post it at the post office with tracking through them (and keep the receipt).
Does this still apply now business and private sellers are separate? Should I do something different?
Thanks

As far as I am aware, private and business sellers have always had the same rules on dispatch, and so long as buyer is happy, that is one way of doing it.
It would be more correct for buyer to delay paying, as while you avoid in ebay's eyes late dispatch, you could still end up with late delivery defects, as if using tracking then it will show very late delivery.
Buyer could also open a not received case.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I'll ask them to wait till they're back from (wherever).
Thanks again.
