Posting Items To The USA - For Info

Just for your information.

I have recently sold items of less than 100 grms Large letter  to the USA  Value of the Items £9.78.

I usually buy the Ebay Royal Mail Standard International Label At £4.20 Ebay have stopped selling the label to the US. I went to the local Post Office & was told that the new US tariffs have come into effect. This is a price breakdown of the new cost so you all need to raise your US postal rates to take account of this or be out of pocket . Cost of 100grms L/Letter Int Standard £4.30 +£1.00 Duty + £1.50 Post Office Admin Fee.

This tariff came in on 29th August, and is 10% of the item price if the origin (country of manufacture) is UK, plus a 50p admin fee from Royal Mail if buy postage online, or £1.50 if you buy it at the Post Office. 

Some items, such as LPs. CDs, Cassettes are zero rated and no tariff is applied (RM will still charge an admin fee though!!).
