Postage

Hi I just used the suggested postage option without checking that eBay had got it right.
It didn’t (my fault for not checking!) but it is 21kg so what are my options please? Thanks Andrew

You have 2 options, as you cannot correct a Simple Delivery label.

Either cancel the transaction with the buyer's agreement, this refunds the buyer, and relist with the correct postage for the buyer to buy again.

Or, pay for over the counter postage at your PO.  The Simple Delivery label will have marked the item as dispatched,  but you cannot now add new tracking.

eBay suggest sending the buyer a message with the new tracking,  and should a case for item not received be opened later,  you are able to add those tracking details.

The refund for the unused SD label,  is made to whoever paid for the label.

  • If you selected 'Buyer pays’ when you created the listing, your buyer will automatically be refunded for any Simple Delivery label that isn’t used after 30 days

  • If you selected ‘Seller pays’ and offered free postage on your listing, you'll need to fill out the Request a refund for Simple Delivery form for the label that wasn’t used. Make sure to send your request within 14 days of your item selling.
