Postage.

Hi All, so I have my own franking machine which makes sending small items foc to me worthwhile. I would bin them if I had to pay Ebays postage. On speaking to Ebay help they said firstly that Ebay postage was the only way to post. But when I said I was just going to use Vinted they then said that if I put the tracking number on the item, then that would be ok. And I wouldn't be charged for postage, is this right.  Because i am being charged even though i am not using it.

Also I have just found out the PO does not recognise the Ebay generated tracking number when added to the lable.

If you offer free delivery (seller pays) then you will be charged for an Ebay label when an item has been listed with Simple Delivery.

If you don't use the label, you have to apply for a refund - there is a form to fill out every time you pay for postage and don't use the Ebay label.  Details below:

If you don't use the Simple Delivery label provided, you or your buyer will be refunded, depending on who paid for postage.

  • If you selected 'Buyer pays’ when you created the listing, your buyer will automatically be refunded for any Simple Delivery label that isn’t used after 30 days
  • If you selected ‘Seller pays’ and offered free postage on your listing, you'll need to fill out the Request a refund for Simple Delivery form for the label that wasn’t used. Make sure to send your request within 14 days of your item selling
