Postage

What do people do when the seller posts an item by a different service than stated on the ad.

It has been posted royal mail sign for instead of 48 tracked so now I am unable to track the item through the system.

It's annoying when this happens, but all you can do is open a return request stating item not as described when you  get the item.Sounds weird, but thats what ebay suggest in these cases!

I Don't think it is a different service.

Most RM parcels are only tracked at point of posting and delivery,

Not necessarily in between these points.

no signed for is post office then delivery.

Tracked 48 is post office then the national hub then local mail centre then delivery office.

I can't see what it matters, tracking is for benefit of seller.

Unless they can prove delivery if buyer opens item not received case, they have to refund.

I recently received a tracked RM item, despite it saying tracking would show when at local sorting office and out for delivery,  nothing showed until postie put it through letter box.
