Hi All,

I've just been very stupid. I was sending a book via Yodel but I've just put the parcel into a Royal Mail box! I've no idea what Royal Mail will do but just hope it will get to my customer or back to me eventually.
What do think Royal Mail will do please?

There's a chance that they may return it to the returns address on the package, but there's also a chance that they'll dispose of it. I guess it all hinges on the kindness of strangers now, and who you get dealing with it. 

I would let your buyer know what's happened and would refund them though. If you do receive your book back you can relist it and they can repurchase it.

It will be sorted manually as a package,unlike a letter which is initially sorted by machine, so will be delayed in either reaching the customer or being returned to you.
