Postage costs

Why does ebay charge the buyer and myself for postage. If an item sells for £20 and £4 postage, why then does ebay then take £4 off my £20 therefore charging us both costing £8 in total. Surely I should get the full £20, but if everyone checks their selling summary ebay charges the seller £4 and me the buyer £4. Why hasn't this been spotted before

It genuinely doesn't happen.  Can you imagine thousands of sellers overlooking such a big error on a daily basis?

If you sell an item for £20, plus £4 postage, you would receive £20.

Look in 'order details' for a breakdown of what the buyer paid and deductions.
