Postage Mistake

I made a sale the night before I went on holiday. I broke my neck trying to parcel it all up (6 Paul Smith shirts, new, £100 for the lot!!!!!) and left it for my son to send that day (18th June). I managed to get the parcel on its way to the buyer within 24 hours. Unfortunately I realised too late that I hadn't used my prepaid label so I paid twice.

My son logged on to my Evri account and bought a new label. I accepted it was because I'd done it all in a hurry but now it just looks as if I never dispatched the parcel. The buyer has received it. But he can't mark it as received his end either. Help!

Postage Mistake

See if you,  or your son if he has access to your account,  can change the tracking .  Go to item sold >>  View order details >>Postage>> Track Postage drop down arrow and change the tracking.  It's preferable to use a laptop / PC for this , and with Chrome,  that seems to work best.

If this is not possible,  then your payout will be held for a minimum of 14 days,  there's nowhere for a buyer to mark received.  They can leave feedback but this releases payouts sooner only if the item is £25 or less in value.

If as this seems to be a Simple Delivery item, the buyer usually pays for the label,  they will be refunded for the unused label in 30 days.  If you marked it ' Seller pays for postage'  , find your label with this link . https://www.ebay.co.uk/ship/lmng/labels-history/seller-hub and to the left of the sales record there is a drop down menu under 'Actions' click on that , then click on 'Void Label'.  You need to do this within 14 days.

Postage Mistake

Thanks very much. There honestly didn’t seem any way round it. I couldn’t change the tracking. All too late and tangled. In the end I sent an empty envelope to him with the prepaid label and he won’t get it for 3 weeks because he’s going on holiday so my late postage black mark will be even worse. I don’t like the new features. It worked just fine before when we did our own postage. Thank you tho!
