Post said seller was in Belgium but now is China

The seller refused my request to cancel the order, despite the post being deceiving.

I bought a product with a considerable retail price discount. I always felt uneasy, but the fact the product was being delivered from Belgium gave me some reassurance.

When I checked the order confirmation email, the country of origin had changed to China now. I am comfortable buying the product now. Hence, the cancellation.

I reread the post and it says,!in a few occasions, the product is original. I just don’t understand why it never said it was being delivered from China.

is there any protection to buyers from this kind of misleading advertising? I’m surprised eBay allows this.

Thank you

Ebay does not allow it, but do you really think ebay reads every ad. when there are millions every day, and in any case you read the ad. but if it said Belgium, how is ebay to know any different ?

Coming from China means it is  unlikely to arrive by date given so as soon as past the estimated delivery date open a not received case.

Only by opening cases does ebay get to know when things go wrong, and opened cases go on sellers profile. Too many and seller can be penalised.

it is quite possible that the item is located in Belgium and the seller is in China and that's where any order confirmation would come from.

Actually, yes, you are right. Just re-read the email with the order confirmation and the seller is based in China, not the product. I just hope it is legit. The post says it's original. Thanks for your comment

Thank you. You're right. I'll open a case if something doesn't go right.

Very unlikely to be the arrive by date as they mentioned it could take weeks due to the festive season. I just hope it isn't a replica. Everything in the post gives the impression of being an original product.

Anyway, thank you for taking the time to share your advice
