Picked wrong royal mail delivery

I have started selling on ebay for the first time and I accidentally picked the wrong delivery size when I listed my item. I selected large envelope when it should have been parcel.

When I took it to the post office the person told me it was wrong and said he can fix it from his end. He did something and then I had to pay for delivery. He said Ebay will refund me. By doing this I got a new tracking code so the one Ebay is using is not correct. 

So would this mess up me getting paid on ebay. If so what should I do?

It would delay payment because the original tracking won't show delivery.    However as a new seller your payment may be on hold for up to 30 days anyway.

First you may need to cancel the first label at your end.   Go to orders, select Postage Labels on the left-hand side, then go to the actions dropdown menu next to the label and select Void Label.

On the left of sales record there's a dropdown menu under "Actions". Click on that then click on "Void Label".

When you buy your own postage you have to add the tracking number and mark dispatched manually via the dropdown actions arrow for the item on your orders page.   If you have any problems doing that contact ebay and they will do it for you.   Use callback on here:
