Payment without proof of delivery

Arranging own courier, means buyer has no protection from the money back guarantee.  If a not received claim was raised, you would need to advise ebay that buyer sent a courier and did not collect in person.

Collection should be in person, with code supplied to buyer, being passed to seller as proof of delivery.

Correct a new system is coming in , that proof of delivery is require,  if this cannot be proved with tracking,  then eBay hold your payout for 14 days before release.

For collection items,  the process has recently changed too.  After purchase and payment through eBay checkout,  no cash on collection allowed anymore,  the buyer is given a 6 digit QR code.

It is essential they bring this code with them on collection it's the only proof a seller has,  when scanned or number entered manually that the item has been collected.

If the buyer sends a courier, firstly they void any eBay MBG protection cover,  but the courier must bring that code with them.  Make it clear in your message to that potential buyer,  the item will not be released if the courier does not bring that code.
