1 Give me my money, ebay!
Isold an item. It was delivered 4 days ago on Saturday 19th July. eBay states 'the funds' (ie MY money) will be available within 2 calender days (note that it is calander days as opposed to 'working' days)
4 days later, ebay is still holding on to my payment.
Have checked my seller performance, account in good standing (above average).
There haven't been any disputes have been raised by the buyer, and i have checked in with the buyer and they're happy.
2 Chat bot is completely broken
To add insult to injury, the help chatbot is broken. I've tried every possible option in online chat and not even 'talk to an gent' or 'call me' works.
Every single option I choose eventually leads me to:'Something went wrong' over and over and over again. So I can't even speak to someone to see what is happening. I'm just stuck in a perpetual never ending loop.
To pour salt into the the wound I cannot even raise a complaint this infuriating problem, because I get exactly the same"Something went wrong"
error message!!
So, since I can't speak to an agent, and the only route to getting help is online chat - which is broken (and yes, I've tried on a laptop as well as my mobile) I am posting this.
What infuriates me further is that ebay are also taking advantage of their community.
They deliberately made it as difficult as possible for customer to get in touch, and aggressively push everyone to the 'community.' A community who isn't compensated by ebay for saving them time and money. They could offer a reward scheme or vouchers for members who help out other customers....but nope. Despite being a huge company worth millions.
I'm sick and tired of companies treating customers like this. All the huge companies with huge monopolies act this way. They do everything they can to stop you talking to a human, and when they mess up, there's no recourse because they have no competition, and hence know that customers will not be able to go anywhere else.
Lastly, it speaks volumes that ebay haven't even included an apology in this automated response/error - all they bother to say is 'something went wrong.'
In other words:
'You'll have to wait until an engineer goes to kick the relevant broken server. We can, and we will, hold on to your funds with zero explanation, and we aren't even going to give you an alternative way of contacting us.
Instead we are going to direct you to our community, who are not paid or compensated for helping you.
If you're that bothered, go to a competitor...oh, you can't. There is no competitor. LULZ
