Packlink eBay Yodel..

Hi..I hope someone would advise me.I sold an item via packlink eBay yodel.It was delivered to an incorrect address.The buyer informed me of this straightway..the tracking was showing someone else's front door.I gave the buyer a refund.Case is closed and now eBay won't step in.Can anyone advise if there is a way to be compensated for my item.Packlink have been useless and want a letter of denial from the buyer..That shouldn't be the case.I have the original postage receipt clearly stating the correct address..Have a lost the item and my money?it's a shame eBay don't help in these cases.
