I sold a used motherboard that was/is in perfect working order earlier in the month, I've sold other items before on here either zero issues. I'm pathologically OCD about keeping things I own as immaculate as possible, keeping the box etc.
As I say, this board worked perfectly prior to selling it.
I believe this person who bought it is lying a d has buyers remorse or something, it disgusts me that there aren't more protections for private sellers.
In short, what are my options? Can I report this person etc?
Thanks for reading.

You have to act as if they are not lying. If you try and defend a claim under the money back guarantee before getting the item back you will lose the item and the money.
Any reporting would happen when you get the item back and what you do depends on the condition it comes back in.

If that is what happens, come back here before doing anything.

If the buyer does not comply with my reasonable request for a clear picture before the date given by eBay to resolve, what should I do? Should I follow through with the returns process? Thanks.

The buyer can escalate without sending you anything, so you need to act before the escalation date.

So just to update, the item has been sent back to me. Inspected it, and I've also tested it. It works fine. I understand I have to give this person a refund as per eBay favouring the buyer. Is there anything else I can do regarding leaving negative feedback, blocking this person from interacting with me on eBay in any way? As I am still of the opinion they're lying to me. Thanks.

You cannot leave negative feedback for a buyer, it's against the rules.
You can block them from retuning to your sales, add their ID here:
