An item I purchased went through authentification inspection. There were a few notes and the seller made an offer. I saw the offer but couldn't accept it at the time and I had until the 18th to decide. When I went back into accept it showed that I had rejected it. I'm now devastated because I wanted to accept the offer and now I can't find a way to resolve it. I have contacted eBay through an email but I won't hear for up to 48 hours at which time the refund may have been processed. Any ideas?

Contact the seller about it. If necessary they can relist the item at the agreed price. Use the contact link on the listing or if you click on their ID you'll see a contact link near top of page.

How is a refund being processed, if you did not buy?
To have got to authentication you must have bought and paid, so offers would not have been appropriate, but once refund is in progress it cannot be stopped
This can only be sorted out between you and seller, as the process you describe cannot have happened.
