Offer flagged as higher than buy it now price.

Hi,

I'm trying to put an offer in on an item but it won't let me. It keeps saying that the offer is higher than the Buy it Now price - it isn't.

I experimented and it would allow an offer that was £40 below the asking price.

What is this about?

That isn't a normal offer issue so we won't be able to help.  Have you read all the ebay guidance on making and receiving offers?

If the seller/item is outside UK then the BIN price you see would include [import] VAT.

Once you click to make an offer the top of the offer window will show the basic BIN price [excluding VAT].
