Not so simple delivery

Being disabled I have Royal Mail collect my sales, (which has been a free service recently), when listing using this awful new service, I cannot select collection as an option, neither could ebay help, assist. In addition I cannot select the Royal Mail level of service, Evril is not an option as they are useless.

How do I charge for packaging for my items, ebay estimation only covers the actual delivery? It all seems poorly thought out and ebay help are less knowledgeable then me.

Any help really appreciated.

Can I arrange for my item to be collected?

Collection is available with Simple Delivery through Royal Mail. If you'd like your sold item to be collected, make sure Royal Mail is selected as one of your preferred carriers. Once your item is sold and after you've generated a prepaid label on eBay, book your collection on the Royal Mail website. 

 

So, you can still arrange for items to be collected as long as you choose RM as your carrier.  There is no provision to add anything for packaging with Simple Delivery.  You will need to include an appropriate amount in the listing price.  So, for example, if I list any clothes, I will add £1 to the starting price to cover the cost of a new posting bag.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, eBay have hijacked my deliveries and chosen what they think is the most appropriate form of delivery including the worst delivery firm in Europe...Evri. I have since removed them form the list meaning everything will be by RM. The two prepaid labels already issued for RM are drop off, there is NO WAY they can retrospectively be collected, both RM help this morning and ebay help have confirmed.

Ebay suggests I refund buyer and relist.... there seems to be a time loop here.

"No collection is available through simple delivery" confirms eBay to me this morning, this is quite discriminatory and is typical of the heavy handed, dictatorial stand eBay is making.

I could use Evri, but they don’t collect either through the system and I would have to put up with about half the parcels being broken lost or stolen whilst in their keep.
