Hi everyone,

I'm not new to Ebay - I closed my previous Ebay account over a year ago, but I first joined Ebay 25 years ago, so I have always been familiar with the site. Unfortunately, I have lost my job after over 40 years of work, so I need to make some money out of unused items.

However, it's been over five years since I last listed anything/sold anything.

There have clearly been some changes since then (some better, some worse), so I'm not up to date with any selling-related issues.

I listed some items yesterday afternoon, expecting to at least have them visible, with perhaps a few views, fairly quickly. Still no views, and my listings are not searchable and have no views, even if I am using another browser (and am not logged-in).

I understand that my items are rather "niche", but one of the items is (though expensive) very sought-after and sells well, as they are no longer produced; DJ/vinyl collecting culture still seems to be popular, so I would expect at least few views by now. I had a few views on Gumtree within a couple of hours.

Is it taking a lot longer to become visible now? Or is this Ebay's new way - no views unless you pay for views?

It's the lack of visibilty which concerns me the most. Am I doing something wrong?

No, this is the only Ebay account I hold.

This account was opened yesterday afternoon, and I started listing immediately.

I have seven "Active" items on my seller dashboard - this is one of them:

If you started posting so quickly after rejoining, a lot has changed since you last sold anything here.

I take it you're aware of the new procedure to register a bank account with eBay for selling here? If you haven't registered this yet it may not prevent you from listing items but you will have to do so in order to be paid.

By the way, as a private seller you're not required to accept returns, except where an item doesn't match the description. Did you really mean to offer buyers a 30 day return period?

Your listings should show later today,they were revised yesterday afternoon and each time a revision is made they return to the back of the queue for indexing and listing

As red_magpie says you will leed to add a bank account and have it verified before you will be able to withdraw your payments from buyers,this is usually confirmed with a small deposit to your bank account but can take up to 5 working days to appear
