No smartphone so no app

Hi - Buyer is collecting an item I've sold and has paid online. I don't understand a word of the Ebay message - am really annoyed because Ebay  assumes everyone has a smartphone. I do not, so what do I do, please? Messasge says "

Your buyer has confirmed a payment of £6.00. Get in touch with them to confirm the details of the collection.

When your buyer arrives, you'll need to use the eBay app to document that the item was collected. This helps protect you just in the case an 'item not received' case is ever opened.

Just open the eBay app, navigate to the order details for this transaction, and click the 'scan to confirm collection' button. Then you can either:

  • Scan the QR code the buyer received through email
  • Or select the 'enter code' tab to manually input the 6-digit code the buyer received through email

When you scan or manually enter the code, the item will immediately be marked as delivered. Again, this can be done in the order details in the eBay app.

Your funds will be available in your balance to shop on eBay, cover your selling needs (such as promote listings or purchase postage labels), or to withdraw from your payment account, typically within 2 working days of order confirmation. Learn more about balance.

I don't think you need the app, you can enter the code against the order using your PC.

Thanks for replying, but Ebay haven't emailed a code, just confirmation that the item has been paid for

eBay sends the code to the buyer not seller, the buyer should bring it with them when they collect and you enter it on your pc as papso22 says, this confirms collection and gets the payment released.

Make sure to tell the buyer they must bring the code when they collect
