Hi I am in dire need of some help with my ebay store. Basically I am a Graphic Designer & I already pay a 3rd party to post my items to buyers. It seems I therefore as a Private Seller & especially now ebay have introduced these changes I will have to pay not only the 3rd party but ebay also. That's twice to post an item. There is no other way around this as this 3rd party has it's own buyer protection. Not to mention the window of time a Buyer waits to receive the Item it would outside the specified date & time as I myself would first have to wait for the Item to arrive at my home address having only to post it on again. It truly is not the way for building customer confidence. As a Private Seller I have considered upgrading to a business account but finding even this a milestone as it requests a new email address rather than let me use the one I I am using. I am not totally savvy with Private & Business seller does a it cost more if I sell my items as a business as I have been educated as of late that I can cut of the Postage buyer protection fees and post items myself
Kind regards

Ebay's policies and the law of the land, require a person making, buying, or growing, items for sale to trade on an ebay business account.
You can upgrade your account without needing a new email address, and all your listings stay as well.
Buyers from business accounts do not bay the BPF, but business sellers pay listing and selling fees, although listing fees could be replaced by a shop subscription if that is better financially.

The link below will show you the fees you will pay as a business seller.
You will be able to set your own postage, you won't have a pre-set 3 day despatch time, your buyers won't pay the BPF and you will be trading legally.
To be honest, creating a new email account, which you could just use for your Ebay business, is a matter of minutes and should not be a barrier to upgrading your account.

The answer is simple.
You may be registered as a private seller, but you are and should be registered as a business seller.
Private sellers are limited to selling their own unwanted possessions. Making or buying items to sell is a business activity. As a business seller your buyers won't have to pay the buyer protection fee (and you won't be affected by the compulsory - for private sellers - use of simple delivery)
