Please help. I’ve returned 3 mattresses as the quality wasn’t great. It’s cost me £40 to post them back. The seller confirmed they received them and would issue a refund. 3weeks later they are just ignoring me how do I get my £220 back?

If you haven't done so already you need to escalate your return to ebay. So go to your return case, click on Case Details > Respond to Case > Escalate This Case > Submit.

Assuming that you returned these through eBay as a return request you can contact eBay if you don't receive a refund. If you followed the procedure correctly, eBay should have notified you when the items were returned that a refund would be issued.
Payments are returned to your payment provider, so for example if you paid by PayPal and funded the payment from a credit card, your payment would be returned to your credit card account. It can take up to 30 days to reach your account.
It's hard to advise you without knowing exactly what procedure you followed to return these items. If you used eBay's returns procedure check your messages, which should state when a refund was issued.
If you simply returned these by a private arrangement with the seller please let us know when and how you paid and exactly how you returned them, with dates. Also what the tracking record states about delivery. We can they try to suggest what you may still be able to do.

You should have opened a return through Ebay - then they can step in if the seller doesn't refund you. If it was a business seller, ring them in the morning and pester them until you get your money back.

Is it a UK business seller?
You will find their name and address on the listing and a search on the internet may well give you a phone number.

I did explain the information needed to help you, but your reply did not provide any of it. Even the attachment re. tracking was not attached. I can't assist further but hope you manage to resolve your situation.

Assuming that you returned these mattresses due to "quality" issue if you had used the eBay system [which you should always do] the seller would have paid for the transport. Even if you get the money back for the goods I doubt whether you will get the carriage. EBay certainly will not help.
If you are still within the 30 limit of eBay you may be able - even now - to open a proper eBay case. If you do that eBay will monitor the case and you can escalate if needed. The sytem works and is 99% automatic.
