I purchased a fan light from a buyer on eBay that stated that the box was damaged and may have some handling marks.

We received the item in a very poor condition, the top part of the light was bent and broken and there was severe handling marks all on the fins of the fan, so bad this should have been listed on the item.

I Had to send a few messages to the buyer to actually get a message back about it, and one of the messages said they didn't have time to deal with this as they were moving warehouse...

I've sent the item back and got a full refund. I put my negative review on yesterday and it's been deleted.

When I googled it, it did state that if I get a full refund in the negative review could be deleted...

Is this a normal, I think if they're not allowing negative reviews at least give me the option of putting another review on and changing that 100% feedback.

They probably treat all their customers like this because they know that if they give a full refund and negative reviews are put on their page. They can have these removed hence the reason why they treat their customers in such ways...

Surely this shouldn't be allowed.?

I really feel like I should take this further as reviews is so important these days and if they're not putting on the honest ones, it's full selling in my eyes.

I think you mean seller in your opening few lines ?

There are feedback rules to follow if you mentioned anything about a case, a refund or any eBay involvement the seller can ask eBay to remove the feedback.

I just had a conversation with eBay and they have assured me they will be looking into this matter with urgency.

Mmmm, sorry but please do not believe that. CS will often say what a member wants to hear, as there is no answer to appease them

They will not look into the matter, they will not reinstate the feedback. Feedback is removed for the reasons I mentioned above.

Ohh really that awful.

I posted photos of the damage item on my review, really bad hands and marks on the light and stated that the seller had really poor communication.

This is what you said in the last neg you left. You're lucky this wasn't removed too.

Feedback won't be removed if buyers stick to the facts, avoid personal abuse and don't mention eBay's involvement.

What are you talking about?

I never mentioned no refund received and had to open a case... eBay will know the truth when they have a look at my review as it's still showing on the system but not showing on your page...

Everybody and this is the seller so they obviously like confrontation, and I stated on my review on professional replies.,This says it all...

I will not let this rest. Please be reassured of that...

You can't go round selling items like this and speaking to customers like this and think you'll get away with it.

The pictures were put on the review so all future buyers can see what your items are like...

Here's my review.

This Item was received damaged, the whole top of the light was bent with very bad handing marks, so bad the marks should have been advised on the listing the Bluetooth didn't work either.Very poor communication from seller and very unprofessional replies, i.e - They have more important things to be doing than dealing with a damaged item,I also didn't receive no real apology for all my time that was wasted dealing with this.... I wouldn't recommend this seller 👎👎👎

I think you misunderstand, red_magpie is not the seller, and I presume he is referring to another negative you left, which seller could have had removed.

If it is necessary to leave a negative it is far safer to just say “unsatisfactory transaction”. The more said the greater chance that an experienced seller would know if ebay will remove it.

In my opinion ebay did no favours when they allowed more to be said.

in feedback, just provides more reasons for removal.

I cannot even see the full feedback history showing feedback left by you.

I don't use eBay that often and can't even remember when I last made a negative review. It has to be a few years ago, so whatever this person is referring to I have no idea...

I know the seller has the words red tools on there address I'm pretty sure this is coming from the seller, No other negative reviews have been posted...
