Negative Feedback Revision

Hi, I have never used the forum/discussion pages before i'm just after some advice. I have been a member on ebay since 2003 both buying and selling. 2 days ago I received a negative feedback comment but the comment read that the item was all good no issues. I messaged the buyer to ask if this was a mistake plus I have returns turned on so would have happily co-operated. I filled out a feedback revision to ebay and they have rejected it saying they found no violation. The buyer hasn't responded to none of my messages. I know buyers paid buyer protection fee but wheres the protection for sellers as now my feedback score is down and this has hampered listing views and sales is there anything I can do or do I just have to put up with it.

You send a feedback revision to the buyer not to eBay.

 

Another polite message with the feedback revision to the buyer explaining you can see this was an error easily done if managing this on mobiles, and would they kindly complete the feedback revision you are sending,  as your feedback score has suffered which can impact your sales.

 

End of the day if they do not agree or ignore the request, nothing you can do but anyone wishing to read your feedback before buying can see this was a mistaken negative, and I'm sure,  it wouldn't stop them buying from you.

Buyer is most unlikely to see your response to feedback, ebay are blind to obvious errors, that is why you send the Buyer a feedback revision request.

Are you sure that you used the correct procedure to ask for the feedback to be revised?

 

You don't make a feedback revision request to eBay - you report the feedback for removal. It sounds as though this is what you did, and they refused. This was to be expected, as their policy is to remove feedback left by sellers with comments that are inconsistent with the rating given, but not when left by buyers for sellers.

 

To ask the buyer to revise the feedback you need to send them a formal feedback revision request through eBay, see: https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/leaving-feedback-buyers/disputing-feedback-received?id=4102#sectio...

You have to send the request within 30 days of receiving the feedback, and the buyer will have 10 days to revise it.

Negative Feedback Revision

Thank you for all your comments, I did send a feedback revision and messages to the buyer but it seems like they have chosen to ignore this. Hence the reason I have sent a feedback removal to ebay. Looks like ill just have to put up with it. I have also replied to the comment just stating this is a positive comment with a negative feedback chosen.
