My chat assistant is broken and can't enter 'chat field' to be able to contact customer service

I have reported this issue (non-functioning chat assistant) several times over the past couple of months and absolutely nothing has been done about it! I have to contact customer service through my wife's account to be able to talk to anyone - usually about simply delivery issues on sold items.

I often get dropped out from callbacks too, as has just happened now.

This is really frustrating and both issues are really messing me about.

Anyone else having similar or know anything to tell?

I cannot be sure of how you are contacting Customer Services,  but on any account this link below,  I find  is the easiest way to contact CS.

I also strongly recommend contacting CS first thing in the morning when lines first open for 'live agents'  that is,  8 a.m. on weekdays, and 9 a.m. on weekends, as there's more chance of Dublin answering.  Being a Call Back option,  you'll hear if it's Ireland answering.

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

Lines open 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. on weekdays

9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekends.

Automated agents will be available on chat outside of the above hours.

As said, I recommend contacting CS first thing in the morning as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

Thanks for getting back to me with this. I've never had this link before, only the pop-up AI chat assistant which you can often end up in a loop of questions with answers which aren't understood.

I did get through the other way, using my wife's account to do the chat and request the callback - only to have to explain why I am not my wife and tell them that shouldn't have to go through 2 sets of vetting, first my wife and then me so that they can change in to my account instead; some of them get it - but I have literally spent hours on the phone these past couple of months trying to remedy my original issue as well as this.

From your link I clicked up to the point of requesting a callback but didn't ask for one as I didn't want to have some one call me now. So it looks like it might work for me anyway.
Thanks!
