Depends what the message content was that you were trying to send, as personal details are not allowed to be sent.

You probably don't need to chase the seller for that.  Some business sellers simply don't accept messages in any case.

There will be a short range of estimated delivery dates, based on the seller's despatch time, in the email you got when you paid.

Is the item overdue?

I have sent a still seller message before on eBay never had this problem

If your using an android device then there are update issues with some older devices,so best try a browser instead of the app.

If your using a PC,make sure your device is upto date,to include the browser your using,and possibly try a different browser for ebay.
