Lying about price on search page and then it goes up when you select the item.

Hi

I tried to get past the annoying chat bot that does the customer service chat but there is nothing in the morons list that is covered by what I want an answer to. I did a search for an item and the result showed it being sold at a price I liked. I clicked on it to purchase it and found the price and P&P had gone up. The intial price I was shown was £18.48 and £8.06. Click on it and you go to the item page and hey ho! the price is now £22.18 and £9.67. I know there is inflation but that is not right.  So, how do I raise this issue with Ebay customer service? I guess I have to hope they see this and reach out but it has left a bad taste in my mouth. I've been with Ebay for a good few years but now their customer service is so *bleep*py compared to Temu or Shein. No wonder they're losing their market share. I've included some screenshots for information. I hope I haven't inadvertently given any private info away. Any thoughts customer service? Thanks all for reading my moan.

Higher price item is from non UK seller.

So VAT will apply.

If I am looking at correct items, Seller is in Bulgaria, which is why 20% VAT is added.

Got ya. One is advertising it without the VAT and then when I go to the page it adds the VAT. Why don't they tell you that? It's not clear. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Since Brexit I haven't bothered with Ebay much and then it's all been based in the UK.

Thanks John. Why don't they make VAT status clear? I see an advert in response to my search using Ebay UK, I expect results to include VAT. Even if from the EU, not to get net costs and then have to add VAT. I'm not a retailer, I'm an end user.

The lower price was the same seller. It's the lower figure without VAT. It should advertise it as + VAT not £18.48 & £P&P. It should say £18.48+VAT. It's poor business methodology and it's frankly annoying. Some of the same guys pages have higher prices for the same thing. Some with no VAT and some with VAT. He also advertises 10% across all his items but there's no way to claim it and he/they don't reply to requests via the 'Contact seller' button.
