Low Resolution photos using iPhone and new eBay app

Hi - I've discovered that all the photos I've uploaded for my listings since 12 Feb are low resolution only - this coincides with me updating to the latest eBay App. If I upload the same pics from my Mac, I do not have the problem so I deduce that it is the app. Is there any way around this?

Have you tried using a browser on your iphone rather than the ebay app,which isn't always 100%.

Hi - Thanks for the suggestion - I just tried that but it is a lot slower/more laborious than using the app (take a pic/save a pic one at a time). However, it does work. I've been listing the same way for so many years that it's hard to migrate to another methodology - the app had been working fine(ish) for as long as I can remember so I'd really like to find a fix for that if possible.

Have you got the latest ebay app and updated downloads on your phone.

Sometimes older phones are no longer compliant with new updates.

Thanks - yes - it's the latest app version that is the problem - I have an iPhone 15 pro running ios 18.3.1 and the app is 6.198.0.1 - I'm going to try 6.199.0 - will report back

I updated the app to 6.199.0.4 - no change - the app still downgrades the picture resolution

you can see that the image on the left (via the app) is lower res/size than the same image uploaded via a browser.

To be fair the ebay app as said is not 100% and having had a look on my iphone, the pics and resolution are pretty good,so all I can suggest is you adjust your settings on your phone.

If only someone knew what settings on my iPhone I need to adjust.... I'm back to the starting point.

The same picture, taken on my iPhone and loaded via the app becomes a poor quality low res, whilst the very same picture, loaded via the web page is OK and is hi-res. (NB - This used to work just fine before the new app was released in Feb).

Go to settings on your phone,then on Display & Brightness, 

1. Tap on Display Zoom in the DISPLAY section.
2. Select your preferred resolution or zoom level.
3. Tap Done.

Hi - Thanks again for your input - but I'm not having difficulty with viewing the images on my iPhone - I have explained the issue a few times now, so hopefully eBay will take note and resolve it soon. Best wishes, Chris

Don't bank on this.

I haven't seen anyone else with same issue.
