On Monday 3 March 2025 I dispatched, via EVRi, eBay parcels nos 1--3. All three parcels were successfully delivered.
On Tuesday 4 March I dispatched parcel no. 4. On 11 March I received a notification that this parcel had not been delivered. I checked the postage receipt from the post office for this parcel, and found that I must have mistakenly printed the wrong label, because the tracking number on the receipt was for parcel no. 2 instead of that for parcel no. 4. The recipient of parcel no. 2 assures me that they have not received parcel no. 4. The intended recipient of parcel no. 4 has not received it, and I have issued them with a refund.
The question therefore is: where is parcel no. 4?
I emailed EVRi customer services, and received what I assume was an automated response, because it was clear that no-one had actually read my email. Their reply: "If you believe this parcel to be delayed, I would advise you to contact eBay directly as they may be able to provide you with further information. I can see that you purchased the shipping label for this parcel via eBay when you sold your item. While your parcel was sent using the Evri network, eBay are regarded as the carrier in this situation as they provided you with the shipping label. This means that any claims for parcels which have become lost, damaged or delivered late will need to go directly to them so they can discuss the appropriate next steps with you. In turn, eBay will get in touch with us on your behalf to discuss the matter further."
Two questions: (1) Is this the correct approach for me to try? (2) If so, how do I contact eBay? Every "contact us" link seems to take me to the same limited set of possible headings, none of which actually applies to this case.
