Loss or damage in the mail

I’ve sold something for £200. As the postal service I’m using only covers loss or damage up to £150 does eBay cover the rest

If you are using Simple delivery in theory ebay covers up to £750.  If buyer opens a return nit as described arrived smashed ebay should deal with it.

No idea what checks or evidence they require, but I cannot believe they just pay out £200 on a claim.

You do not claim on Royal Mail or Courier, as service not bought from them.
