Loss of half of refund

I recently bought 2 items

I picked them up personally. Wtapped them xarefully a delivered to the person i had bought the big on as a gift.

 It didnt connect and was unuseable. I immediately informed i wanted a refund. 2 days later in agreement with the seller i returned them personally carefully wrapped and in the same condition i  bought them. He received them off me and stood them in his hallway. 5 days later seller sent pictures of items with scrapes and dents all over them accysing me of damaging them ebay decided i was entitled to half my money back. That lost me 47.50. I cant find who i can take issue with. No one asked my opinion but i am being punished for something i havent done. What can i do. To say i am upset is an understatement

You could try Customer Services, explain what has happened, that you totally disagree with the condition the seller found and you wished a full refund for a faulty item.

 

I strongly recommend contacting CS 8 a.m. on a weekday when the lines open for ' live agents' as then,  there's more chance of Dublin answering.

 

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekends.


Automated agents will be available on chat outside of the above hours.

 

It's not easy to get through to CS, you just have to have perseverance!  Instead of a quick option, 'Contact Us' which put you direct to a CS agent, you have to scroll past ' How Can We Help you today,  to the very bottom and click on the Contact Us below Need More Help?

 

That takes you to an annoying AI bot but if you persevere keep asking questions it cannot answer and Insist on an agent,  they do finally put you through and say .... waiting time ** minutes!
