Listing removed

Hi All

I had a listing removed over infringing intellectual property rights

Yet there are hundreds of listings just like mine on ebay

I dont understand why i have been singled out

What can I do ?

Don't relist it is what you can do, unless you want to get in to further 'trouble' with the rights owner and ebay.

Different VERO rules apply in different countries, so it may well be that other items may be listed in the States for example.

As an example if you sell NIke trainers for example - in the US they are protected by VERO rules so cannot be resold on ebay. However if you lived in the UK you could list them as long as they are UK models.

My business was a finalist in the ebay business awards 2023.

Yours hasn't been singled out,  it was spotted and reported for breaking a Vero regulation .

There are over 7 billion listings on eBay at any one time, just impossible to check each and every listing, so some invariably slip the net,  and become listed.

When they are spotted,   and they break a Vero policy, and they do not have permission from the Brand owners to list those items (  some do),  then their items too,  will be removed.

Read about Vero's policy here:

Not all listings get reported but yours has,so don't relist, and read up here,Verified Rights Owner (VeRO) policy | eBay

Your also trading as a Private seller when you should clearly be registered as a business seller on ebay as your selling brand new items,so need to comply with ebay policies and the UK law

https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/selling-policies/business-seller-policy?id=4710

Failure to comply can get your account restricted.

You are likely to be banned soon anyway,

you are an unregistered business, denying buyers of their consumer rights.

Also, you are selling items which you say fits APPLE, you are not allowed to mention a brand name unless it is the genuine item.

Apple are very hot on reporting this, I suspect it is them who informed ebay.

Upgrade to business ASAP & only sell genuine items or your ebay days are over.

"I dont understand why i have been singled out"

Because as a private seller you could not have the required permission and the Rights holder can assume that as a private seller you could not have stocks of genuine items.
