Limits

Can anybody let me know what the limit is for private sellers and over what period. Also what happens if it goes over the limit.

For most private sellers, there doesn't seem to be a limit.

Some new private sellers appear to have restrictions but generally, you can list and sell as much as you like unless Ebay contact you and set a limit.

Why not read what ebay has to say about limits, and how to find what limit you may have.

What do you mean by 'allowed'?  Are you talking about the reporting thresholds for sales reported to HMRC?

Yes, exactly. Especially as eBay required national insurance numbers

It would have been helpful if you had asked that question.

If you sell more than 30 items, Ebay will ask for your NI number.

The thresholds for reporting to HMRC are 30 items or about £1740 in sales.
