I ordered an old coin from an ebayer and received an empty package yesterday, but there was a hole in the envelope at the end big enough for the coin to fall out. Something similar happened a couple of years ago with a different seller and I got a refund, but wanted to double check what I have to do. Do I say I want to return it, and then when it says why, I say item not as described? Shall I send pictures of the envelope and the hole?
Thanks.

Yes, start a "not as described" return. If it does require a photo send pics of envelope with hole. If necessary escalate it to eBay after 3 complete working days.

Thanks. I noticed it's a bit different now, there's a "missing parts or pieces" option as well as an "Item didn't match description" option, so I wasn't sure. I'll choose the latter one then.

That is usually the safer option for buyers.
