I'm 63, had my ebay account for 25 years. I don't have a credit card because I don't like them. Ebay is a right joke on this verification, as I wanted to buy some multi tool blades. They can see how long I've had my account and still I have to prove im over 18. I don't need to prove on the likes of Amazon, Tiktok or Temu, this is done at the point of delivery. 

Ebay you're not the big almighty you us to be, I have a simple solution,  don't use Ebay and use Amazon instead. Won't be using eBay again. Ebay you have proof, it's not rocket science. Pathetic!!

It is legal requirement to prove age when buying these type of items.

Ebay only accept credit cards as proof.

Other sites may allow different methods.

Sorry @nigel_lm  --- Only a ( monthly statement ) Credit Card is acceptable by eBay --- nothing else will do !! --- an everyday use Debit Card will not be accepted.    Anyone among your family or friends who could order on your behalf ?.

As maybe, I don't have a credit card, don't believe in them, so I'm discriminated.  Many other ways, driving licence, passport. Or prove on delivery, that's what Amazon do. If I've had my account for 25 years, even if I opened it when I was born, should be proof enough, no rocket science, but no problem, there is always others to buy fromSent from my Galaxy
