I ordered an item from an eBay seller, what they sent me was not as described on the site.
Also the item was damaged when it arrived, due to bad packaging, it was just in the mailer bag.
I have been messaging them for over a week and they are ignoring my request for a refund.
They said they would send another. I did not agree to accept a replacement. I don’t want another useless piece of garbage. I want a refund.
They have just claimed to have reshipped a replacement.
I have repeatedly tried to start a Return Item request but after filling out the form the ‘Confirm return’ button is grayed out, it won’t let me go any further.
I’ve tried that stupid assistant bot just keeps sending me back to the Return item form.
I am being scammed by this seller, I think they are purposely wasting time until the return/refund window has expired. I can’t find any way to contact eBay that doesn’t send my back to that useless assistant bot again.
Can anyone please help? How can I contact a real person? I can’t find any way.

yes i sent a photo of what i recieved. but the problem isn't the damage .
It is the wrong item, not what was advertised, or what i ordered based on the advert.. so i want a refund.
How do i contact someone at ebay.?

You need to upload a photo to the case, then the button to create the case should become clickable.
'Sending' a photo doesn't count.

Are you still within the 30 day window to return the item?
What reason did you give for wanting to return it?
Obviously sellers have to accept "Not as described" returns but do they accept "change of mind" returns?
I ask this in case you have used the reason "Does not fit" as this is classed as a change of mind.

I have tried repeatedly to fill in the form.
i have uploaded a single photo and tried uploading the max of 10 photo's the button is still grayed out.

I ordered the item on 6 Oct.
I selected not as advertised.
I tried customer service, it just sends mee back to the assistance bot which won't let me contact a real person.

This is Friday, maintenance day. Strange things happen try later this afternoon when ebay should have stopped meddling with everything.

Does eBay care about its buyers anymore?
eBay used to protect their buyers, now it appears they ignore buyers and protect scam sellers.
It’s almost impossible to contact anyone.

That will probably be the mistake that has led to this problem.
For an item that arrives damaged you should have opened a money back guarantee case. The seller could not have refused this andyou would have received a refund. If the seller wanted the item back they would have been required to send you a prepaid return label, and eBay would have issued the refund on return.
We don't know when you opened the return request or what has gone wrong with it, but if it's timed out or the seller was able to close it there is nothing further that you can do through eBay. You can't re-open a closed request or make more than one return request of any type for the same item.
Your payment provider may be able to help, e.g. paypal or your credit or debit card issuer.

it says there is no request open. It won't let me open a return request, the button is always grayed out.
I manged to use the contact seller, they refuse to refund.

I just tried it again, 4 times now, and it sends me back the return item page, them to that damned bot again. I can't get any further than that.
