Item sold

I sold a item on here, I posted a car rear light for £25 with Royal Mail and arrived to the buyers address damaged, how do I go about compensating from Royal Mail to get there money back?

I am pretty new with selling things on here, any help would be appreciated thanks.

You have to deal with the refund due to your buyer first.

Was this posted under  Simple Delivery ?  Then,  the buyer opens a case for item not as described and eBay deal with the refund.

You then try and claim compensation from Royal Mail for yourself,  either online or from a form you can collect from your Post Office.

If your buyer can send you photos of the damage to the item,  that may help.
